Kelly Gruber
Kelly, a registered dietitian with the HPCSA and ADSA, has been empowering healthier lives since 2015 through her practice, Smart Eating. She gained experience at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, focusing on pediatrics, before moving into private practice.
Now based at 247 Medical Centre, among others, Kelly helps patients manage conditions like diabetes, heart health, weight loss, childhood obesity, and fussy eating.
As a mom of two, she understands family mealtime challenges and is passionate about raising happy, healthy eaters. With CDE-accredited diabetes training and expertise in DNA-based nutrition, Kelly offers personalised guidance to help you thrive.

Kelly is a registered dietitian with the HPCSA and ADSA. She completed a BSc at Wits University in 2008 and she completed her Bachelor of Dietetics at the University of Pretoria in 2011.
She gained experience in the government setting at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital where she had a special interest in the paediatric units. After spending two years in a clinical private practice she started her own business ‘Smart Eating, Registered Dietitians’ in 2015 and has been in practice ever since.
Kelly is currently practicing from 247 Medical Centre as well as attends to hospital patients at Life Hospital and Morningside Mediclinic.
Kelly is passionate about dietetics as a profession and strives to be healthy in her own life. As a mom of two she understands the challenges that come with family mealtimes and raising happy healthy eaters.
She enjoys helping people with a wide variety of conditions such as chronic diseases of lifestyle (cardiovascular, diabetes, high blood pressure) as well as weight loss, childhood obesity and fussy eating to name a few
Kelly has completed her Diabetes training (CDE accredited) and DNAlysis training course and can assist with an appointment explaining your personalised DNA reports to you.
